Cloud Height Indicator Not Operating. It's one of a number of maintenance-related reports on AWOS. The one in this report needs a lot of maintenance - no precipitation, freezing rain or cloud high information.

A good resource I use for decoding things occasionally seen in METARs, TAFs, and AFs that I liked to use: http://www.fltplan.com/abbreviations.htm
Also, here's a decent page too, the bottom explains the different "***NO" indicators you may see. The links within the page to see the different remarks seems to be dead though...: http://www.met.tamu.edu/class/metar/quick-metar.html

well, considering this would be my first negative response to the individual in question, saying i hate someone seems a bit of a stretch. as far as our responses to his question, they are the same type of snarky banter that happens amongst dispatchers who work together so is it really that out of place? and to be completely honest i was originally going to paste in the definition of CHINO for him.....but when i realized it took me longer to find the definition i posted than it took me to find the answer he was looking for...i just couldnt help myself

Actually, many of us here did try to help you. If you look in your posting history a lot of people - myself included - gave you honest, solid advice to your early posts, which you then proceeded to ignore. Instead of spending time complaining about people who post on this board, I'd put your energy towards getting your license (seriously, how long have you been posting here now?) because otherwise, you'll never really know what the job is like.
