This position is located in Carson City, Nevada, Administration Division. Incumbent functions as a manager who trains,
supervises and evaluates the performance of air service and flight personnel in NDOT Flight Operations, develops policies and procedures; and allocates staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
Pilots multi-engine jet and turboprop aircraft at both high and low altitudes and in congested airspace.
Performs pre-flight and post-flight activities which include: scheduling routes, monitoring weather conditions, calculating load and fuel requirements, performing routine pilot inspections to ensure the aircraft is in airworthy condition, fueling and preheating aircraft, securing aircraft in hangar, or covering and tying down aircraft after completion of flight.
Maintains operation and component records for agency; conducts or schedules required training of flight personnel; and prepares and monitors air operations budget.
