Falcon Aviation Academy which operates out of 4 locations in the greater Atlanta area is in need of 15-20 CFI's in the next 30 days. We are expanding our international market (Primarily students from India) while simultaneously supporting a regional airline (ASA) with their need for pilots. We offer health benefits, good pay, subsidized living accomodations (some locations) and a inside track to ASA after 6-8 months of employment with us as a CFI. We probably have a lot of Indian students lurking on this site looking for information on flight schools and your imaturity and ignorance is not going to help anyone. You might want to try and keep those kind of comments to yourself and try growing up a little!

If you're interested, it'd be best to call them. But, if I'm not mistaken, you're already well beyond the CFI stage - or do I have you mixed up with another Mike734 with the same avatar? Part of me thinks you're not serious. . .but hey - maybe you came across some bad times.
I'd call them up, speak to Ray, Al, Spencer, or Shawn.
Students are charged $40 an hour for an instructor, flight or ground. How much of that an instructor actually sees is well. . .to be determined by the instructors pay rate.
Multi teaching comes with seniority, but I am one of about 5 full time CMEL students, plus how ever many Indian students are also working on their MEL.
If you are truly interested - call them up. If you want to speak with a few of the CFIs, PM and I'll see if I can either have mine, or one of the many I have flown with talk to you.

I'll let you know, so just keep an eye on my Falcon thread. Start systems training next week. And actually watching a G1000 training DVD as I type this. All of the DA42's are G1000 equipped.
IA checkride next Friday, start DA42 systems ground on Monday of next week. It's a CMEL w/ CSEL add-on course.

Nope, you got the right guy. I just want him to publish the rate. I'm sure it is quite low. The pilot shortage will really be here when people hiring start throwing out numbers. I guess that day has not come. (I did enjoy teaching though. It is too bad one can't make a decent living doing it.)

I am really amazed when I see these threads about CFI's for aviation academies. Where I live, most (almost all) CFI's are independent contractors. If students are charged $35 an hour, instructors make $35 an hour (they only have to pay monthly dues to the flight school). I remember when my original flight school in Colorado was bought out, the flight instructors went from making $35 an hour to $27 an hour, and I was shocked!!
The rates I am seeing from these aviation academies are outrageously low. Just another reason not to train or work at a large aviation academy!
