Neil...I promise I'm done now.
We won't cutt anyone off intentionally, but its not easy to get into the pattern with enough space for everyone to be comfortable when there are two aircraft on approach, a C-130 on its way in, and 3 or 4 ASA guys doing touch & go's. Merced is only a few miles away, and we usually end up extending the downwind out there anyway to accomidate all you guys, so why not do them over there?My current count of being cut off in the pattern is up to 6 now (all sierra pilots)
Okay I'll give you that the taxi calls are not always needed, but maybe part of the reason the frequency is congested is because you guys ask for radio checks ever 5 seconds and always ask for base and final traffic advisories (sometimes just seconds after someone called base or final).… Especially when the CTAF freq. is super busy.
