The lady who I spoke to at CATS told me I had to have a helicopter flight instructor rating already to take that test?!?anic:

Berkut Well-Known Member Jul 23, 2008 #2 You need the full FIA knowledge test. Check out page 7-9 of FAA Order 8080.6D. You could take the short one if you were a helicopter or gyro CFI.
