CFIA added rating written

I've got my CFII as my inital, now I'm going for my CFIA I can just take the short 25 question CFIA added rating written test, right?

The lady who I spoke to at CATS told me I had to have a helicopter flight instructor rating already to take that test?!?anic:

You need the full FIA knowledge test. Check out page 7-9 of FAA Order 8080.6D.

You could take the short one if you were a helicopter or gyro CFI.
