Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Yeah, I heard he is a complete hole tho.. Most likely I am gonna fail supposedly.. His pass rate is extremely low for cfi initial..

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

I don't know anything except that I hope one day my license can look 1/2 as good as his.

Also, calling your DPE an • on the internet, using your name, on a thread that will pop up if he searches his name, probably isn't that great for your pass-rate.

If you give him a reason to fail you, then chances are you'll fail. know your stuff.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Prolly right Adler, I'll give that a quick change.. I just wanna know all I can about this guy, if anyone has flown with him tell me what ya can please! I went thru ATP program, came into it with my private and I am on the 90 day fast track..

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Anyone know anything about bill blaugher? I hear that he thinks failing your cfi initial is just a rite of passage and no one should pass their first time.. Sounds bad, I don't want my perfect record spoiled by someone who thinks I should fail for no reason!

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Wait, how can I edit that post?

Boy I hope he googles your name and reads this thread. Remember this is a very small community.

Also I think you only have a few minutes after posting in which to edit you post. Otherwise its here on the interwebz forever and ever.

Oh yeah the reason I posted was I took my initial with him. He was awesome, got a ton of stories, did everything to make me relaxed and even did all the radio calls.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Funny, I did a google search for Bill Blaugher, and found this thread. Lets hope MrBlaugher doesn't do the same thing.......or hope that he does.

Know your systems, especially the constant speed prop. I know someone that failed for not knowing the high/ low angles of the prop.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Wow, why would you post your name and his name on a public forum? You should probably cancel your ride because if he reads your odds of busting are much higher.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

 That's alot of type ratings.

I can't decide which is my favorite, gotta love the Albatross and B25, but a Jetstar too!!!!

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

:clap:Like I said before, the guy is a total bad ass!
I would love to meet him.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Bill is an awesome examiner and a legend. I know many people who took there initial with him and they ALL passed. Are you doing your IA or II first. If you are doing your instrument I can give you the complete gouge.

Re: Cfi initial, ft lauderdale,fl on Wednesday, w bill blaug

Instructor initial, I will be doing my instrument instructor back in Nashville.. I didn't directly call him a hole, just to b clear, i said "I heard" he was.. I have just heard a lot of bad things.. Apparently he was slapping a guy in the side of the head and headset and cussing pretty hard at another guy.. Both of these stories I heard from my instructor who also instructed the people he did these things to, so it's not a case of complete hearsay, these things happened with blaugher.. I just want to get as much info on this guy so I can be 100% prepared.. I am prepared 100% knowledge wise, but I just wanna get a feel of his personality for this instructor initial..
