Hey Everyone,
Just recently got my CFI and am looking to start instructing part-time. Just wondering if anyone knew of anything around the ME,NH, MA area??
Thanks!!
Although it's pretty slow at MIF right now I would stop in or call the chief instructor or if you want send me a resume and I'll give it to him. It never hurts to show interest especially if the need arises for another instructor at some point. By the way, how have you been?
You can replace MIF with our place in BHB and the rest of the post is exactly the same.
I know we will be looking for a scenic pilot or two next summer, I know its not instructing, but its getting paid to fly, and there might be a pop up instructing opportunity or two.
Hey, pretty good..how are you doing? I will probably stop by at some point and drop off a resume and say hey..still the same chief instructor up there?
Yep! Very slow (think 2-3 hours a week).exec and ECAC are both slow.
exec is slow because its almost winter, same as any place in NE. Im sure it will pick back up next spring
How do you become a aerobatic instructor at Executive Flyers. I fly alittle bit of aerobatics now in a decathlon owned by a friend of my dads and becoming a airshow pilot is my goal. Just wondering how you would get in there? Working with Goulian would be amazing!
Executive flyers out of mostly KBED and a few planes at KLWM or East Coast Aero Club out of mostly KBED and a few planes at KASH.
Those are probably by far the most steady/large/busy flight schools around. Id say at either you could probably do a minimum of 80 hours per month. I did closer to 120+ while there. Executive may be looking but they are highly competitive around this time because they can be and their current CFIs arent going anywhere.
If you want to have a good time contact Mike or Cheryl at Hampton and teach almost exclusively in J3 cubs out of a grass strip.
I'm doing pretty well...I'm still instructing and it's been good. Yeah we still have the same chief instructor up here. It must feel pretty good to finally get your CFI...congrats!
