CFI-I In a Multi

Nope...Not unless you have a Multi-Engine Sea rating....

Who's gonna be the PIC of that bad boy when you're on the lake? He's never flown a multi, or even anything on the water. And the CFI has never flown a multi on the water....
You're not even going up for a ride, forget about giving instruction!!

The good news for CFIs is that the second you get an ASES or AMES rating, you can now teach in that category and class (you're now 'appropriately rated').

how can you teach someone in a twin if you don't have an MEI? Even if your a CFII, you still don't have a MEI rating. Whats the point of getting a MEI if your a CFII?

You are not teaching towards a multi engine rating. You are teaching towards an instrument rating or instrument training. It is just like a CFII teaching in a single without a CFI. They are teaching instruments, not towards a single engine rating.
