Was working for ATP but they let me go because I requested a STOP & GO at KCRG in the PA-44, again all I did was request one due to another Instructor requesting one and being allowed to do it! The owner is very shady, we were repremanded when it occured. I was about a week into being standardized and instructing when I got repremanded and then was allowed to continue working for about a month. Signed off a Private and a CFII while I was working.
Got a call a week ago telling me that they were going to let me and the other instructor go because the owner found out about it!
Was not even a written rule about doing Stop and Go's, now they have made it in writing that no stop and go's are allowed on a runway less that 8000'.
Its all good though, but now I am in the pool of jobless instructors
Thanks for all of your help guys and keep me posted on any pilot jobs around
HOLY CRAP,
And I thought UND was the place of insane policies. Honestly though, maybe that rule isnt too far from the threshold for UND. We are currently allowed to do stop and goes in the seminole here any runway length. It's up to the pilots to determine if enough distance remains. But since the pilot's decision making skills are being slowy taken away by MODS, the SOF, and other policy makers, that rule could soon be a reality.
