Thanks, I'll have my resume on the way in the next few mins.
Their website says they are still hiring, any info as to if they are done? I might give them a call as well. I am brand new instructor with 300 hrs nearly all Cessna time, no glass cockpit. I am applying anyway but does anyone think I am wasting my time and theirs?
Do believe try are still hiring. I think that you should definately applies they have new hires (including me) with less time than that. Just throw it in there and see what happens...
Good luck
Since the time I posted this thread, I worked at USFA and have left. USFA will continue on, and if you want to make $15/hour working 60+ hours a week and being paid for 30 then you are their kind of person. If you like hard work, lots of hours, and a full schedule USFA is for you.
I had an experience that was less than desirable, and I would like to talk with those who have as well.
Dear MURedhawk,
What do you mean when you say they want you to work the students? Are they expecting you to make the students finish up quickly or just get the most hours out of them be it by delaying their sign-offs?
Can you explain what you mean? Do they pay $15/hr for the 60+ you work which in your opinion is to little or do they somehow justify paying only half of that time you work? Sounds like you get a lot of flying hours which is good, but still I'll draw a line as to how much someone can take advantage of the other.
All the best to you!

Is this different from the Wright Flyers in SAT?US Flight Academy just bought Wright Flyers Aviation in Hondo, TX. So that gives them another facility, many more 172's, and about 60 or so new Chinese students.
I wish USFA success with that purchase. And also thanks for taking over those students since it was a shame how they were left without much notice of the previous school having troubles.
On that note, a couple questions.
What is the pay and benefits at USFA?
And is it more of a formal academy structure or more of an one-on-one FBO structure when it comes to teaching?
Is USFA also acquiring the Wright Flyers CFI's who all lost their jobs with little to no notice?
Is this different from the Wright Flyers in SAT?
Billing dispute with whom?nope Wright Flyers in SAT (which was temporarily Hondo) shut their doors last month because of a billing dispute. Something like over $1,000,000 from what I heard...
Billing dispute with whom?
whichever chinese airline it was that was supplying all their students
