The do use regular 210's quite a bit in Namibia. Dirt(mud)/gravel/grass. 206/207/208 are by far the most popular.
Most of the strips in Namibia are as hard as paved runways.
MAF uses them on grass strips, but honestly I would look how much landing gear parts costs, I'm sure they are not cheap.
We landed a 210 on a mud strip ones in Guatemala, it was almost impossible to taxi the thing around due to the small tires.
