There is no such thing as overpaid. If you can get a salary, then you're worth precisely that amount.

Without the union, though, they'd certainly make a lot less. Which brings up the question - what if, say, DHL become nonunionized. How much would the salary drop be? Any guesses?

I dunno. They'd probably do something like a 'matrix' where if they meet certain financial guideposts, they'll get "X" amount of dollars.

Then the company sets the targets too high to attain, or plays around with the books enough to keep employment costs low.

But that's just speculation on a sunday afternoon!
