can any one tell me about dca now?

Uhh, I don't get it either.

For the ADHD crowd...the premise goes like this:

Your new JC member is: eranjo01
Eranjo01 makes 4 post.
4 Post belong to this thread.
Eranjo01 doesnt appreciate the feedback from this thread.
Eranjo01 pouts about his/her intentions of post.
Eranjo01 vanishes into thin air.

Question?

Is Eranjo01 just a regular 'schmo' that loves to fly and has an honest question?
Is Eranjo01 the marketing director for DCA fishing for some good publicity?
Is Eranjo01 a radical muslim flight training in FL for sightseeing fun?

:)

Ah, another person - coming to JC, wanting information, getting information, and not liking the information because it's "negative."

I'm speechless.

As usual, if someone wants to hear from people that are there right now, the people that have nothing better to do than hate the place for whatever reason chime in like a pack of wolves. I do work there, not for need but for choice. I know what is good and what is not and have seen too many people here ranting for the wrong reasons. And by ranting so much you end-up with the opposite result than what you expect. You loose any credibility you would have otherwise.

I hear many "horror" stories about the "other schools" that advertise here. But I won't post about them and won't judge them. That is not my place. We have told many times that DCA is not for everyone. But you insist in saying that it shoud be for no one. In that you are grossly mistaken as we have seen it work for many pilots and the success stories abound. They just don't have the time to be posting here as they don't have to.

Most of the people that rant about DCA in this site will fall into the following categories:

1 - The student that did not succeed, either by his/her own fault. DCA's fault or a combination of those.

2 - The ones that don't have a clue about the place, but judge the school based on posts from category one. 727 buddy, sorry to say this but you seem to fall into this category.

3 - The ones that maliciously post negative comments about the place. Like admissions officers from the competition, people that envy the school and other stupid reasons.

Now anytime someone that has had a good experience, or succeeded at the program posts here. The people from the above categories will post negative comments and try to discredit the positive post.

From telling everyone that DCA has no connections to Delta Airlines, and when we told them that DCA's new president was the Chief Pilot for Delta in LA and is a Senior Vice President, all of a sudden those allegations stopped.

Also telling people that the new fleet was a lie. And now with over 20 Cirrus SR-20 in the ramp with 30 more to come, suddenly that rumour stopped.

Those that came to the school and were handed a bad experience, either because of the instructors assigned, their schedules, maintenance issues and etc. Have all the reason in the world to be pissed off and I wish I could overturn that. And I do understand and respect their opinions.

But there are many that digged their own graves by behaving improperly and not putting the effort required. I just hope you find a place that works for you and that you grow up and study and learn what you must learn in order to fly my family around the country in whatever airline you end up.

See you in the air!

"2 - The ones that don't have a clue about the place, but judge the school based on posts from category one. 727 buddy, sorry to say this but you seem to fall into this category."

Again. You're telling me just because I didn't go there doesn't allow me to have an informed opinion on sham marketing that can be seen with the click of a button, interview guarantees that are useless in this day and age, final price tag out of sight, and management that wanted to shut down jetcareers? I don't need to visit Sandford to understand it. Rest assured, though, I bet if I did, I'd rag on the place twice as much. It's not my cup of tea and not a wise way to enter the industry.....but that's just me.

Naw, I didn't go there. But I've been reading the net since far before Planedive had his PPL. The history is all there for those who seek it.

I think there are better ways.....

Arrest my case...

Hey Eranjo...

Glad you made it back and please take no offense to my off-the-wall post. Its all in fun and I hope you find what you are looking for.

:)

"It's all about making informed decisions."

Yeah, but who's doing the informing. The DCA website? the DCA recruiters? People who work there?

One could easily be mislead without going beyond that.
