can any one tell me about dca now?

i've read the old threads,but can't find anything about dca here for the last year or so.am i looking in the wrong place? can anyone chime in and tell me about the academy?
 
I went to DCA, but I left in 03. If you want to know about DCA, PM planediveguy. He'll tell you anything you wanna know.

I go there now. I am at the Sanford campus. What questions do you have?
 
i was just wondering how you find the program?what has your expereince been? are their cost estimates in line with what you have been paying?do you enjoy the experience? where are you at in the program? do you live in student housing, and if so how is that?

No greasy used car salesmen... you can contact me anytime. I was a student in 2002, Instructor in 2003, check airman in 2005 and did my bridge program that year. Stayed at DCA because my wife asked me to (she makes beacup bucks $$$$) and am currently Assistant Chief Flight Instructor. I have seen it and heard it all about the Academy...
 
i was actually wondering if someone that is currently a student, could respond,in a semi proffesional manner.particularly in regards to their experience.i have seen all the negative stuff, and frankly it's hard to take anyone terribly seriously when they are in a rant.i was looking for a realistic breakdown of the program. not focusing on the money, or the location, just the training provided.is it up to snuff, or is it not?

With all due respect, you should pay attention to the history of this site and DCA. To blow it off as rants pays little respect to the many people who have posted at this site for years thinking there is a better way, myself included.

DCA has a terrible reputation on the internet as a ripoff. That goes for not only here, but the other sites as well. It's been this way for quite some time. You'll find an occasional positive comment mixed in with the negative.

Just trying to be semi-professional, but that's what I've observed since I started paying attention.

ok, i'm going to duck out of this thread.i asked a fairly simple question as a new person, and so far haven't really gotten much but.its bad....thats what everyone says. perhaps that is exactly the case, don't know, and clearly am not going to find out. sorry to have posted the question.

I'd recommend you PM those who have experience with DCA with specific questions.

It will be a lot easier to PM those of us who are there now. I have found that a lot of the people here have a passionate dislike for DCA have not the faintest clue about the place. If you have any questions please PM me and I will answer any questions as honestly and concisely as I can.

What's to know?

The place has a really bad reputation on the internet and the guy who was once part of the management team tried to have this website shut down cause of the negative opinions here.

Sure, PM the guys that work there. I just don't see any reason to discount what people have to say about the place at the websites. Many with experience at DCA have voiced their opinions here and at APC. There is an active thread at APC as we speak. I'm just saying it doesn't paint a pretty picture. I've been paying attention.

You should go check it out and tell us what you think.

These are my favorite responses by far since joining this site

translates to "no one told me what I wanted to hear so I am going to go elsewhere to find someone who will only tell me that the school is great to validate my feelings"
 
Ehh... Anyone with a basic knowledge of the search feature knows how warmly I feel about DCA...
 
The poster(eranjo01) looks more like a DCA espionage gig to me.

Think about it.......makes a post/question....doesnt agree with feedback....runs to momma and cries! Job well done! He now gets his name and picture in the DCA Hall of Shame!

I didn't know there was a DCA Hall of Shame. How do I get in it, or am I already there?:panic:
