PLAN mode for me because that’s what we did in the Navy.
As long as you don’t scribble all over the aircraft windows with dry erase marker, we won’t give you a hard time.
(I had an FO who did this last week - I laughed and asked if he ever worked in PriFly - sure enough - a fellow Navy guy)

If I get told to turn right on Delta, left on Mike, I *swear* I will not physically turn right onto a Delta 757 that is taxiing nearby. I have more than one brain cell that can put two and two together and figure right on Delta means a taxiway.
That said, ATL is Delta Mecca land and I can see changing Delta to Dixie to avoid confusion. I don't have a problem so as long as Dixie is used just at ATL.
