Buzz Aldrin marries ‘longtime love’ on his 93rd birthday

I LOVE it! Best era in music ever. No influencers, less autotune, the uglier the band the better they were...

I've never been even marginally concerned with any woman who was impressed or even interested in aviation-appliance-operation. Now, you may counter that this is why I'll die alone, and fair dinkum, I guess. But this is a hill I'm willing (and likely, I suppose) to die on. Chicks who dig badges and uniforms give me a limpy. I want a crazy communist artist who is deeply convinced that I'm The Man (in the bad sense). But also the other sense. Sue me, oh yeah.

I’ve had some cool toys. As far as bang for the buck, so to speak, a pontoon boat has been my best purchase.

Ball on a budget.

The fact that I immediately heard that song without clicking on it means that I am a confirmed bachelor, doesn't it? Better get the mohawk while I've still got hair.
For an Annapolis kid, I would expect Fugazi, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Government Issue, Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty, and Slickee Boys to be the cred-worthy bands. Maybe a bit of Chuck Brown.

IDK ... I say "go for it.". You won't give a damn about the money when you're gone.

If you're happy now, what the hell else matters?

Certainly not the disdain of strangers. Of course, my life is pretty much filled by four dogs and PornHub, so discount my opinion as you feel necessary.

YMMV, I suppose.

Surely an Annapolis kid (I'm just hillbilly transplant) would kick some Severin?

The Simple Machines releases were an absolute revelation to this hick.

There isn't a bad track on that entire compilation, in my admittedly biased opinion.

Edit: Also features Rodan, the best band from the Commonwealth ever. Slint is good, Rodan is better, imho.

The main problem with most boats is the lack of a head and how women feel about that, a pontoon boat is particularly problematic because its only purpose is basically to be a mobile drinking party platform on the water that although able can't tow wakeboarders or waterskiers very well. What goes in must come out eventually, it gets worse if you have a BBQ on board. A friend of mine is currently selling a 32' Cruiser that he bought because he wanted to do some boat camping, it has a proper berth to sleep in it but no crapper. His wife refuses to spend the night in the boat. If anyone's interested I can probably forward some pictures and the asking price.

I’ve had a big boat with two heads with showers and central AC and heat. I lived aboard it for a few years. I know about amenities and what they cost.

On a lake, I plan on a few potty breaks back at the marina, no problem. I never really like to stay out more than 4-5 hours.

In the past twenty years, pontoon performance has become pretty sporty. My first pontoon had a 9.9hp motor, my current pontoon is a 2008 twenty-two footer with a 225hp motor.

I bought my pontoon with the idea of waterskiing. It’s a little slow off the start but not bad for skiers with a bit of experience. Top speed is 43mph, I’ve hit 40 with four adults onboard.

My ex-wife worked as an office manager for a fairly HNWI years ago. He owned a large piece of property and thought about developing it as a storage yard for RVs, boats and what not. She told me about it and told her to tell him that I told her to tell him to install a black/grey water dump on the property. He did and it quickly filled up with lots of very high end equipment, he sold it a few years ago for a very large profit. It turned into a very profitable business within about a year and he sold it for probably more than the property would be worth today. It's all fun and games until someone needs to relieve themselves. I hope your passengers aren't besmirching the sanctity of the waters your boat travels.

Minor besmirching encouraged.

I really don’t mind returning to the marina every hour. Often it’s a shift change, with a campground as home base.
