But did you die?

Looked out my window to see a bunch of siding in my lawn. Cringing at the dollar signs, I was very happy to see it didn't belong to my house. Might even be from the people we don't like. Double bonus.

I wandered around my yard today dreading finding shingles. Fortunately none to be seen.

Yesterday my neighbors fence blew down, the gate on my fence was blown so hard it popped the lock, my grill was blown off my deck (with full propane tank inside it), trees down everywhere. This storm was no joke. Glad it was my day off. And somehow we never lost power!

Crazinsss here in VA too. We are lucky that we are protected by a mountain to the north and west. No damage here, but definitely some spooky sounds as it blew around us. Plus about 18 hours without power.

Well, instant karma is a female dog. Right after my relief in finding the siding belonged to a neighbors house, I looked up and saw three patches of missing shingles. Not sure how bad that is, I'll be on YouTube soon.

Put your faith in Krishna and everything will be fine

Im guessing TURB mode wouldn't make it any better in this case.
I'm beginning to think that pushing the TURB button does about the same as setting the temperature on one of those hotel thermostats with the motion sensors or the "push to cross" button at a cross walk. It may make you feel like you're doing something about the problem, but it really doesnt fix much.

Sometimes it made it seem like speed mode was lazier and less accurate, which is hard to imagine.

SFO to JFK. We arrive at 2am and people were still going around. Winds were gusting to 50+. Captain mentioned to me that was the scariest landing he ever did. Yeah, no wind shear warning from FiFi.

Yea that video is great but it just feels wierd having that air france crash at the end. I mean the crew was trying to go around the whole time but the airbus was in LAND mode so it wouldnt register their pitch up commands.

You know, I never noticed it was that one because it cuts off before it hits the trees...

Yea its a good thing it cuts off, nobody wants to see a clip of a plane turning to a fireball. Thats up there with the video of that national airlines cargo 747 stalling and crashing.

I thought the cause was that since he was in land configuration with gear and flaps set, the plane thought he was landing so it wouldn't allow for the neccessary pitch increase to prevent tail strikes from occuring.
