6800' of runway is plenty for a B757 especially at lighter weights. The airlines take their 757s in and out of SNA all the time and it is only 5700'. ATA flies them in and out of MDW all the time and they've only got 6500'.
In fact it's probably easier for the military. Part 121 has the 60% effective runway length rule. I don't know the military rules, but I don't believe they have this restriction.
