Bringing goodies when jumpseating?

Well, tires are an obvious thing and don't require any special mechanical knowledge. Even I can tell when one is dangerously worn. I was referring to the inner workings of a car. I wouldn't even attempt to figure that out. Hence, men are a nice thing to have around. ;)

Ever watch that Canadian comedy show 'Red Green'?

There was always a ridiculous 'home improvement' sketch in every show.

"Because if the women don't find you handsome, at least they can find you handy."

I heart Red Green. :) He reminds me of my dad. (Although my dad's an A&P IA, so he actually knows how to fix things the right way, usually sans duct-tape.)

Oh, and one thing Dad demanded of me before I got my driver's license was that I prove I could change a tire on my own, all by myself. He made me jack the car up, take the tire off, and put it back on, all without help. Twice I've been alone on the road, and thanks to him, I changed my own tire and was on my way :bandit: Thanks dad!

Point in case right here:

A self-reliant woman that doesn't need a man, but appreciates a gentleman nonetheless.

Thanks, Amber. :)

That is what AAA is for...

:)

I'm not waiting for AAA to come "rescue" me when all I've got is a stinking flat tire! Wait who knows how long for response while sitting there picking my nose? No way, I'll do it myself.

The two incidences where I needed a tire change were both when I was 19. Once outside my old college apartment. I went out to my car one morning and one of my tires was flat. I walked to work and changed it out that night. The second was at a friend's house at home, she and I were the only ones there and she lived out in the country. No one to help :) No problem!

A girly-man? J/K..... :D
Honestly, I've never pumped my own gas. That's why I like getting it in NJ, you're not allowed to pump your own -- AND it's cheaper. Go figure.

You boys are pretty playful tonight...whatever you do, don't check out the "Pity" thread...
