My wife averaged 30-40 minutes per pumping session.... that's once everything was set up. Not every woman is the same. Not even the same woman for each pregnancy, birth, or child. That doesn't even begin to include storage, cleanup, etc.... Hardly conducive to "our" job duties. I love my wife, I love the sacrifices she made for our family, I love the role Mothers play but somewhere sacrifices must be made. Companies are already forced to sacrifice greatly. Having a child is a personal/family decision....why or how long should a company be forced to pay for that? Some Mothers nurse for a few months.....some for 2 years or longer, some not at all. Some have flexibility in their jobs and some like us don't.
That being said... The Mrs. is in commercial real estate. She has a boss and a big corporate office but makes her own hours, travel schedule, works from home when she wants, and as long as she meets her quota no questions are asked. Her job requirements and ours are in no way the same.
