Airliner hijacked in Mexico, lands safely

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - An AeroMexico passenger plane was hijacked at the airport in the Mexican resort of Cancun on Wednesday and flown to Mexico City's international airport.
Transport Minister Juan Molinar told Mexican radio the aircraft had landed safely.
El Universal and Reforma websites said three men earlier seized control of the plane and threatened to blow it up unless they were allowed to speak to President Felipe Calderon.

MEXICO CITY - An AeroMexico passenger plane was hijacked at the airport in the Mexican resort of Cancun on Wednesday and flown to Mexico City's international airport, where most of the passengers were reported to have been freed.
A Telemundo producer said the hijackers apparently were three Bolivians who were asking to speak to President Felipe Calderon.
Transport Minister Juan Molinar told Mexican radio the aircraft had landed safely. The Boeing 737 carried 104 passengers, according to local media reports.
The reports said most of the passengers were freed.
All flights destined for Mexico City were being diverted to other airports.

I'm going to enjoy the first time somebody decides to unnecessarily "closely inspect" me.
I intend to make a public spectacle, or at least make the TSA agent in question feel just plain dirty for doing their job.
When I flew from IAD to MDW on WN they not only TSA'ed us like normal they also did random screenings during the boarding process. Absolutely retarded.
