Brazilian copy of the Cirrus

Dude, have you never eaten at a Brazilian Steakhouse? They are also good.

It`s not that bad, but in Brazil at least, not every Steakhouse has decent Churrasco, if you wanna eat the real thing and have some good cuts then you gonna have to spend a minimum of 50-70 USD/person and go to one of the two best places (Porcao/FogoDeChao). If you go where Brazilian BBQ is from, the Southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, you will hardly find a place with good BBQ, but if you get invited to an house party then it will be amazing. The best meat cut is prepared in the North, you may be able to find it in the US, it`s called Carne do Sol.

Uruguay and Argentina have way better options of BBQ, but nothing can compare to Namibian BBQ or South Pacific Santo Eye Filet on the grill.

plus they don`t have cornbread in Brazil :)

Chicken hearts are awesome!!!! too bad in the US they all end up feeding animals.

Some Mexican shops have them, I found them once at Publix too...

I love the chicken hearts too! Squeeze a little bit of lime on them. Rodizio Grill in Colorado would have them sometimes, but then their supplier, Shamrock Foods, stopped providing them, and then started providing them again, and then stopped. Don't know the status currently. I had a friend from Brazil and we would always go together, and he would gobble them up and say "mmmmmm.... just like the way my dad makes them in Sao Paulo"

Saturn Astra or Chevy Malibu? If yes, you've just got a bad one. Neither of those are of bad quality in general. I'll agree with you on cars in general though. I have a 90s M3. Most reliable and robust M car ever made. New BMWs don't hold a candle to 80s and 90s ones in build quality. Sure the interiors are prettier and rust proofing is better on the body panels, but they'll be junk not long after the warranty runs out. The electronics just will not stand the test of time. Which is their goal, so that you'll come in and buy an new one. That being said, everyone is on the same playing field at this point. I wouldn't touch a 90s/early 2000s Hyandai, Kia, Audi, VW, Jaguar, or chrysler product with a 10 foot pole. Now, if it was something I wanted, I wouldn't hesitate going to anyone if those company's dealer lots.

Chinese cars are pure unadulterated crap though. Or should I say adulterated so badly from what they were copying that they are now pure crap? :D Plus they're so shady that no one has been successful in suing them either for their rip offs. BMW and Audi failed in Chinese courts. They're a VERY immature society, so that's not surprising I guess. I don't know if there's international courts for copy right infringement. I have absolutely zero respect for the Chinese when it comes to their auto industry. Most things in general actually, but the crap they pull in the automotive industry is criminal.

Found a picture to show you how well our Brazilian care is made:

AHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! So you can recline your passenger's seat while doing e-brake slides! Love it!

What makes an airplane safe is the pilot.

A good pilot is essential....But even the best pilot has been dealt a bad hand in a s#it heap of a plane.

At least the EMB145 line....almost 1,000 produced....Aircraft doing upwards of 6-7 cycles per day. No fatalities. Not every pilot flying one was at the top of his class......

Swisspilot,

Why do you still live in Brazil? All you do is complain, whine, and bring a general negativity to all your posts regarding Brazil. Plenty of people have moved beyond the past and can be proud of what Brazil has accomplished in recent years economically and the direction it is going.

Do us all a favor and please move. If you want to play the "girlfriend" card as a reason to stay then I suggest you cool off. Your rantings and general "debbie downer" attitudes are getting OLD.

For what it's worth: Very few inventions in the past few centuries have been created from nothing. Everything around us today is a version 2.0 of an earlier invention/idea. Brazilians didn't corner that market no more than Japan did with the TV. Leave the aeroclube for a bit and open a history book...you might learn a few things.

Strong words. Jealous much?

You're wrong.

Proof? Examples?

Microwave ovens, hair dryers, air conditioning, television, sattelite radio and weather. We can argue until the the end of time and it won't matter. Be proud of Embraer, if you want to talk about where these parts come from, engines/avionics, then we can have a civil conversation. I like the Legacy and the Phenom 100/300.

None of those inventions are original and came from "nothing". They are all based in one way or another on previous inventions, discoveries, and patents. For comparison, some of the few completely original inventions have been language, the alphabet, and the wheel.

Microwave ovens, for example never would have happened without the invention/discovery of radiation, wave lengths, molecules, electromagnetism, etc..

In regards to Embraer, of course the engines/avionics aren't produce in house. Neither are Boeing's or Airbus'. Airliners are not built the way a model airplane is. That is: attach wings and engines to fuselage and roll it out.

The technology nescessary to design and produce an aircraft goes beyond attaching wings and engines to a fuselage. There is a reason why only a handful of companies have ever succesfully produced aircraft in the last 100 years...and why today there are only about 6 major players ( Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, ATR, and SAAB). Look at how desperatly Sukoi has been trying to catch up with Embraer and Bombardier. Even the Chinese have been attempting to produce a regional airliner. They have had at best moderate success.

It is not easy, or else many more companies would be doing it. Embraer didn't invent the airplane anymore than Boeing or Airbus did. All took the designs and basic know-how of aeronautical engineering and perfected it to a certain degree.

That is how virtually everything around us came about. The collection of earlier inventions being perfected and expanded. This all ties in to the original point of my earlier post. Swisspilot wants to rant about Brazil "copying" the Cirrus design when he fails to see that is just how the world works and is by no means unique to Brazil.
