Bonanza Down in TX: Originated in Arlington

RIP, indeed.

Always sad to lose fellow aviators.. especially people some of us knew.

Condolences to the friends and loved ones as well.

My condolences to those who knew them.

Strange looking wreck - extremely compact looking crash site in the middle of an open pasture. Really sad.

Casey was a roommate (working on his CFI) while I was an instructor at Skymates. He was always very funny and it didn't take long- even after a day of instructing- for him to make me laugh or smile. I remember that he loved general aviation very much, and I'm sure he enjoyed teaching others about it. Reading this makes me want to know what happened, even though that really won't change the amount of sadness felt by everyone.

Casey became my best friend. His love for flying was hard to match. He didn't do this to land the "big job", he did this because it was in his blood and it was a family tradition. His knowledge of aviation surpassed many including mine in a short time. He was a student of mine, but learned more from him than I ever taught him.

I lived with Casey for a while when I first moved to Arlington to begin flight instructing at Skymates. He was a great guy, and will certainly be missed by everybody who knew him.

RIP.

Casey was a model instructor and a fantastic person. He will be missed. All of my prayers are with Casey's and the Skymates family.

Rest in peace.

So very sorry that we lost a fellow aviator and you folks lost a friend. Very sad... our thoughts are with you...

Casey, along with ryanmickG were my chief pilots when I was an instructor at Skymates. What a great guy and great aviator. Seems like it was just yesterday I was drinking with casey and ryanmickG one night in honor of an instructor we had lost earlier that day. Now, I drink to Casey. Godspeed. RIP
