So we’re all going to Garmin Pilot now? That’ll go well with the G5000s I’m flying now. Someone needs to outlaw proline 21.

Oh boy. I've been reading Jepps since the 80's, I hate to see what type of mickey mouse crap the new owner is going to pull.
You wouldn't believe how much dumb stuff Boeing had to be talked-out-of.

They wanted to rename the company because "Jeppesen" wasn't aligned with their branding.

edit: call 'em "MAX charts" or some shi.

That and redoing the formatting on the pages so everything was a 7-XX page.

Elrey would disapprove.

Great. I cringe at the first major update revision for all of the flight decks using an EFB
My experience with JeppView hasn’t been great. Boeing hasn't exactly been running on all cylinders lately, either. The sad part is that it can actually get worse. I imagine airlines have some sort of SLA that the new owners will be bound to, so they probably can't completely tank it.

My hope was that they would abandon jeppview and make an airline-optimized version of ForeFlight. I’m sure the new corporate overlords will make ForeFlight more expensive and less usable instead.

As far as I know, you can use Jepp plates in Foreflight, but it costs extra and idt airlines want to pay for it. Funnily enough, Spirit paid for Foreflight and we could use it as a secondary option.

Can confirm. We pay for a “pro version” which allows you to have foreflight on 2 devices but only display the Jepp charts on 1 of them. *shrugs*

We use FAA charts at my current shop. Was a bit of a (re) adjustment coming from Jepp, but all the info is the same, if you know where to find it.

We also use FF as part of our EFB program, and it is great for that. I really hope they don't screw it up.
