Boeing Lounge Boeing 737 LRD

And here we have our own internal designations…737-900ER’s that came from LionAir…

J/R/S’s…in their bastard configurations

AAAAAAAAAAnd I flew a “35H” yesterday and tomorrow it’s a “359”

I figured out little associations to remember all of our internal designations of 757

75D - Domestic trash, your most common config
75C - Charter bird
75S - Sleeper seats, the lie flat first class
75G - Gucci planes with all the options
75H - former ETOPS subfleet (H for Hawaii)
75Y - Y is it so long (757-300)

I’m 5 yrs now on the Guppy and call me crazy but I like it :)
He whines about the 737 every chance he gets. It's living rent free in his head. Most likely because if he bid it he would actually have to demonstrate actual pilot hand flying skills and he isnt 100% confident in his ability.

Uh… where do you think skaning works that he has an option to not be on the guppy?

You’ve got Stockholm syndrome my dude. It doesn’t even hand fly well, unless you’re the kinda guy that likes driving a 4x4 on squishy tires and off road suspension on the highway.

It hand flies just fine. How many 121 planes have you flown? Only curious.

How many corpie airplanes have you flown? What a dumb thing to say. Airplanes are airplanes. 737 hand flies like aircraft I would describe as a truck as well. I still enjoy it but trust me there are some amazing aircraft out there that handle like a dream and have technology that not only makes sense but actually works.

The 73 flies a little bit like an old truck, like a 1990’s 3/4ton…little bit of play in the wheels, solid, doesn’t break too much.

The E175 hand flew alright, but I much prefer the way the Q or 73 handfly. Wasn’t a huge fan of the completely artificial feel of the E.

Corpie planes? Zero. Which is why I have zero comments on how Corpies planes handfly.

The 737 hand flies just fine. Maybe you just suck? ;)

Pretty accurate. My dad had an ‘86 (I think) F250 with an in-line 6 when I was growing up. Had been aftermarket painted golden yellow with red and gold pinstripe tape down each side. Driving that is what hand flying the Guppy reminds me of.

He quoted CC but I stand by the Guppy sucking AND flying like absolute dog ess. Zero joy derived from manipulating the controls.

Will bid back to an Airbus as soon as possible.

Fun fact: Alaskaiian parked the first 737-900 ever made last month.

Hawaska? Is one preferred over the other?

Good. Now get rid of the rest of them! 😆

If we got the 175 or (more likely and fit for the mission) 190/195E2, you’d never get me out of the thing.

The Airbus is just more comfortable from a space perspective. But it wasn’t really true handflying. More of a set and forget. Auto trim did the real work. I liked my 8.5 yrs on the Bus. Been on the 73 almost 5 yrs now and still think it handflies just fine. I’d say it’s actually fun. :)
