I think he was referring to the OP saying he wasn't going to say anything even though the OP actually did see something.

But if he didn't want to say anything in the first place, he could have just not said anything instead of saying he wasn't going to say anything.

*shrug*. In my view he can say whatever he wants, and also not say whatever he wants. I know that your wife (or G/F, or RealDoll) looks some way naked, but while everyone knows that you know what she (or it) looks like naked, I think it's your right to choose not to describe it. Watching someone die isn't a particularly pleasant experience, I'm unfortunate enough to know. What I have to say about it, or not, is really just between me and whatever notion of God/Transcendence/The Seven Noble Truths etc etc I happen to subscribe to. I'm not insensitive to the desire to hear about this stuff, and I don't think anyone's a jerk for asking, but if someone doesn't want to talk about it, let it lie.

This is pretty traumatic stuff for some. I probably wouldn't want to talk about it either...hearing someones last words over the radio and seeing someone lose their life in that manner.

What I was referring to is that some people don't want to describe what they saw, feeling that it'd come across as "the Gospel" or that they were drawing conclusions. Which isn't the case if someone simply describes what they saw and thats it. Now, whether they want to or not otherwise, is purely up to them.

I don't think you were the focus of anyone's knickers getting twisted. You said that it's ok to talk about what one sees. You didn't say that someone has an obligation to talk about it. FWIW, I agree with you, but I also maintain that it's entirely the call of the person involved what they want to say and what they don't. Which I'm fairly certain you agree with. Lot of bad vibes around here, someone turn down the lights and turn up the soundtrack! ;)

I could post what I want, was anyone holding short with me with I saw this guy loose his life? NO so STFU! I could tell you what I saw other then "it was bad" but who gives a crap. BLT posted about a B18 crashed and I said I saw what I "saw." This guy is not coming home for dinner and we all are, just be gald you are! Stay safe out there!
