avoid era if you want to upgrade. go to ace, you'll upgrade in a year if you start with 500TT

I've heard ERA was okay to work for.

Yeah, if you want to make lower 48 regional pay in alaska where you could make way more, and get treated poorly, and be the laughing stock of all other ak pilots (ok maybe that was an exageration but seriously)

That's a big exaggeration.

Keep in mind that ERA *is* in bankruptcy though, and Frontier is looking to get back at them for starting service to Fairbanks and Bethel. They've already taken their first retaliatory strike by starting service to Kodiak.

Say what you will, they still don't pay worth a damn, and don't fly enough to make it worth while. At frontier alaska at least you can get into the sled or the Jo and make some real money, rather than make regional wages. Ace is in the same equipment and their crews make about 10k more per year. No contest. I was just in kodiak yesterday, I haven't heard anything about frontier coming down there when are they starting that?
