And that's mentioned where?

Largest flight of B-25s over 50 years old? As compared to ones that aren't over 50 years old?

The title mentions the sheer number of planes doing the flyover, not their age, not the geographic location of the flyover, not the avionics packages they're carrying, not the condition they're in, possibly the pilot age thing even though that's not mentioned, and no mention of profit/non-profit.

Maybe we should add:

*Largest flight of B-25s with digital radio systems installed in few of them
*Largest flight of B-25s with lowest engine total times
*Largest flight of B-25s with pilots who don't use checking accounts
*Largest flight of B-25s owned by different owners (which would be accurate)


I'm simply arguing against the title of the article, since its inaccurate. I don't know why you're taking it personally. The article should say "Largest flight of B-25s ever over the National Museum of the Air Force," then I can easily buy it. But not largest flight of B-25s since WWII.

It's a simple matter of the tagline needing a little better editing. Thats all.

Am just curious about this 50 year old comment you made. As compared to B-25s that arent over 50 years old, as in, were built after 1960?

And where are, pray tell, any of these comparisons made?

I'm simply saying the article title is inaccurate. Unless you wrote the article yourself or have some other personal stake in the matter, I don't see why you're taking such personal offense to a simple observation.

I can't explain the other tangential arguments and rationale supporting the article title that you've provided from out of left field.
 
Who knows? They had (not sure of current status) a firm in Germany that got some old tooling, jigs and B prints of FW 190s and churned a few out 60 yrs later. If I could afford it, I'd buy a mitchell over a slowtation.:pirate:

Anyway, I wish I could have seen it. I'm a big fan of WWII birds. I also recall an event in Ohio where 50+ Mustangs(IIRC) did a giant flyby. Hopefully I'll make it to one of these kind of events if one is held again.

One of the coolest events I ever attended. They had 77 mustangs that were flown in and 51 participated in the flyover... amazing.
