Turbotax works well. I've worked with 'aviation specialists' and it all comes out the same.Any of y'all use a good aviation-savvy tax accountant you might recommend?

Pay quarterlies.Ill add this here.
What about contracting work done on the side. ANY good advice on how to not get taxed like crazy on it at the end of the year.
Set 30-40% aside and expect to kiss it goodbye to Uncle Sugar. Plus whatever you buy that you can deduct, save the receipts for it.Ill add this here.

Don't forget mileage as well it has been upped to $0.575 a mile this year.Set 30-40% aside and expect to kiss it goodbye to Uncle Sugar. Plus whatever you buy that you can deduct, save the receipts for it.
It's fairly simple and turbo tax can handle most situations. If you are not getting enough per diem than there are some ways to get that back. The IRS has a nice calculator and guidance on how to do this.Is an average tax person savvy to the tax issues involved of a traveling worker? I'm thinking about not using turbotax this year, and paying to have someone do my taxes this year. I'm saving receipts from everything, especially while on the road, and all moving expenses related to my job...
