Any of y'all use a good aviation-savvy tax accountant you might recommend?

Set 30-40% aside and expect to kiss it goodbye to Uncle Sugar. Plus whatever you buy that you can deduct, save the receipts for it.
 
ya i know a little about deductions from stuff bought on trips. I have gotten some good advice on that. Any special forms of just file regularly?
 
Is an average tax person savvy to the tax issues involved of a traveling worker? I'm thinking about not using turbotax this year, and paying to have someone do my taxes this year. I'm saving receipts from everything, especially while on the road, and all moving expenses related to my job...

It's fairly simple and turbo tax can handle most situations. If you are not getting enough per diem than there are some ways to get that back. The IRS has a nice calculator and guidance on how to do this.
