Aviation Tattoos

That www.tattoosinflight.com is full of aviation tatts. This one's pretty cool:

On the subject of wings...not sure I dig the location of this one, but the chrome treatment is kinda cool:

That is horrible placement...
I was thinking that, but across the shoulder blades.

This guy was in San Diego this weekend for the Red Bull races. Too scraggly looking to be a 121 pilot. (too much hair on the face to gel). Most likely just stepped out of a clapped out 'ho.

I'm sorry, but this is crossing over into dorkiness.

I'm sure someone will say that about my tattoo's as well, but they're an Eagle, Globe and Anchor surrounded by Latin.

This was already posted...

Hmmn, so if a lady tattoes herself with "Captain (insert your name here)" inside a pair of wings, does a shotgun wedding soon follow??
Henna for me,( cause of work, baby) - India ink for you.....

I'd marry the girl I spoke of in an instant. Honestly, she's all I want and I would have no issues never being able to look at another woman.

I'm thinking of getting an old school WWII Pilot tat on my arm. Something like this maybe. What you guys think?

Used to know a guy the had a P-47 chasing a P-51 chasing a P-38 up his calf. Thought that looked pretty cool. Sorry no pictures.

Before you go out and get inked make sure this is something you want. I let my idea sit for a year as I kicked it over before I finally went out and got the tattoo. I made sure I got it in an area that I could cover up when I put on my uniform. I haven't kicked myself for getting and I never will.

The quaility of the picture isn't great, and the mirror I used needed a bit of cleaning.

your tat is bad ass:nana2:

Ill echo what Mab says. Think real hard before getting inked. Find a good artist. Here is a little advice.
All tattoos hurt, no matter where it goes. Its a needle puncturing your skin thousands of times. There is no comfort zone. If your looking for a place with limited pain. Go with the upper arm area. Its fleshy and easy to hide from your employer. The wrist, depending on how skinny yours might be hurts like hell. Areas with thin skin and tendons are more painful. For me the most pain I endured was the area where a nurse would draw blood, also known as the "ditch" of the arm. I literally started to tear up and almost tapped out a few times. It also depends on what your getting. If its just an outline the pain is limited. If your getting the full color treatment then they add needles for color and shadding which will obviously increases the pain scale to ten.
