Yes, there are Aussies. Not many but I have met a few. My best pal is an Aussie who is a CFI now and is trying to get interviews at the regionals.
Yes, foreigners are employed and yes you need that green card to be employed.
Yanks? She uses that term too. I told her to go to the south and call the Americans there "Yanks" and see what kind of reaction she gets! "Yankees" were considered from the northern states and some southerners might be highly offended even today.....
Different terms & words. Took me a few weeks before we finally got to understanding each other.
