Atlantic Southeast Airlines/ExpressJet

Hired! But the class for xjt on the 23rd is full so they put me in a pool and said they would put me in the next class.

For those of you who work at ASA/XJT have you heard about any more scheduled classes?

Thanks

I will be 20 later this year, but Im flying 100+ hours each month, any chance they might consider a 20 year old. I have the basic qualifications CPL- MEL, Instrument, 100+ multi engine time.

Keep applying! I don't think there is an age requirement, if there is, it's probably 21.

Congrats and welcome aboard! I haven't heard of any additional classes this month on the ASA side, but it's always subject to change. I will be at the ASA training center all next week, I'll see what I can find out.

congrats to all those who are starting class soon.. Training isnt that bad. Just buckle down and study hard. Dont be a nerd and enjoy yourself, but dont slack off either. Training is what you make of it. Free beer, margaritas, and food at the Holiday Inn on Tuesdays. There is a study room on the second floor in rooms 278 and 280. If you can make the drive.. do it. Having a car was priceless. I just finished training and am on IOE... if you have any questions shoot them my way.

Just got back from my interview today. Hoping to hear back soon. Overall, amazing experience. PM if you have questions.

whats the best way to get an interview? secret? hint?

Do they go through Airlineapps? or through their own website?

thanks.

Lets see how well that works. A Captain is going to walk in my resume next week. His exact words are they prefer hiring or interviewing guys that have been referred by current employees..

That's pretty much any airline.

I walked in a JC members resume today, he got an email within an hour and has an interviewed scheduled in a few weeks.

Also, just an update. Right now there are 2 more XJT classes scheduled for June 6 and June 20 for a total of 48 slots. Word is also that ASA will have a class on May 30.

I guess the internal recs are highly desired...guess I need to call that 3rd cousin I have that works there...forgot that she flies there

A friend of mine who interviewed on the 17th got a call and offer for the 6/6 class date today. I interviewed the 16th and haven't heard anything yet. Gave HR a call and they told me my app is still with the review board. I find this kind of strange. Ideas?
