ATL-MSP.....And out come the slides

So the fire was out and they evacuated anyway?
LIstening to the audio, it seems it was intially reported the fire was out, and then later it was reported it was still going and a decision was made. Very shortly after that decision was made it was said that it was smoking, but out (not sure if that was the case on the first call and fire and smoke used interchangably or what). Sounds like the ARFF could have been much more descriptive on what it was seeing. But sounds like the crew made the decision to pop the cork and stuck with it. No fault in that.

Not I, I’m just waking up in Seoul wondering why I had nearly 150 text messages over night.

Weird they’d evac out both sides, if there was still concern for fire on one side.

I just hope it wasn’t an influencer because then it’s going to be six straight months of PA selfies and clearance copying.

What if it’s a self-proclaimed influencer who secretly filmed the whole thing with a hidden camera set up before the Capt arrived? 😂

Good job to the crew for getting everyone off safely.
God. Can you imagine if one of them was an influencer?? An influencer, Air Line Pilot, in Atlanta flying the 757…. @Cherokee_Cruiser would try to hurt himself. We would all have to go to Torrance and make sure he wouldn’t hurt himself.

Them exit row pax finally got to exercise their duties. 😂

Oh God, the number of people I see siting in exit rows who nod their head yes that they are “willing and able” to operate the exit and assist with evac, when they don’t pay any attention to the safety brief, and it’s pretty obvious they’d be less than useless in such a scenario for whatever reason, is highly concerning.

I like to follow the end of the FAs questions to these people with “and don’t screw it up”.

Can’t stand the exit rows. I don’t care about the leg room. I do care about having enough room for my large ass to fit. Damn fixed seats.
