Greece actually has a rather sizable military considering they are always on a state of alert against Turkey. There are between 12-18 air space incursions each day in the Aegean with the Turkish Air Force. Also after World War II, following the Marhsall Plan, Greece went through a period of militaristic rule that strengthened their military ten fold (dark, dark days). That military museum, was actually their headquarters; it also doubled as a place where political dissidents were tortured and allegedly murdered. Though you won't here that from the government. Doug, wasn't the view from the Galaxy Bar awesome?? It is worth the 20 euro gin and tonics
