Athens is one of my favorite cities... The Acropolis just speaks to me... Wonderful place. Nice pics Doug.

Actually, N236MJ has been spending an awful lot of time in SLC lately....
 
Aside from rolling over during WWII, which war in the Jet age were the Greeks involved in?

Greece actually has a rather sizable military considering they are always on a state of alert against Turkey. There are between 12-18 air space incursions each day in the Aegean with the Turkish Air Force. Also after World War II, following the Marhsall Plan, Greece went through a period of militaristic rule that strengthened their military ten fold (dark, dark days). That military museum, was actually their headquarters; it also doubled as a place where political dissidents were tortured and allegedly murdered. Though you won't here that from the government. Doug, wasn't the view from the Galaxy Bar awesome?? It is worth the 20 euro gin and tonics :D
