AT-SAT Test

for those of you who used the practice software and took the test already.. i was wondering how you personally did on the practice software specifically the lettler factory portion.

I thought the lettery factory was a LOT easier on the AT-SAT. There was only 1 type of letter per belt. (the A's came only down belt 1, the B's down belt 2, etc) Plus you don't have to click on the actual letter & drag it to the box. You can click once anywhere on the belt & it will select the letter closest to the end, then you just click one on the box. Same thing when you place a box from the storage area, you just click it & it will automatically go to the empty loading area space. With the practice test, there were tons of letters spilling on to the floor, but with the real thing, I didn't drop one. They seemed to supply you with the ones you need to fill up each box before more of the same letters arrive. All of this will be explained in the directions, just be sure to read them very well & you will be fine.

Exactly what Fent said, plus I'll add:

Pay attention to the questions, they're different than the practice software and actually a little more complex. One helpful hint I can give you is pay attention to everything you do, what letters are on what belt, colors they are, and what color boxes and how many you have below the belts, before the first letter on the belts goes into your availability line. Because a good percentage of the questions will start right before you even do anything and pop up right before the first letter goes past the line. One question was usually "What was the last letter that caused you to pull a box?" or "What color was the last letter that made you pull out a box?"

Now if that first letter goes past the availability line, then don't worry about what you made yourself remember for the beginning and just keep going, because the questions will come after a couple minutes and ask you other things like "What letters would you need to fill in the boxes you have?" or "If you filled up all the boxes with all the letters that are on the belts how many boxes would you have left?"

Hope that makes sense!

Are all the angle choices rounded off to a certain degree? Like are they all rounded to the 10s, 5s, or are the numbers random?

As far as I can remember they are, but I wouldn't worry too much about those. It seems as though you could quickly eliminate two of them and the two remaining were far enough apart that it really wouldn't matter if it ended in a 5 or 0. Maybe someone on here can either confirm or deny this but of the two angles left they were around 10 or so degrees apart. Hope this helps and good luck!
