ASA/ExpressJet

How long is this process going to take for the likes of UND, Riddle, etc? I won't be able to get it, but will be able to get the full ATP,soon, anyway. I'd just like to get in before the students from these universities start coming in waves.

UND already has approval. The FAA's moving pretty quick.

Any info in ORD for ERJ side. Fortunate to have a few offers with ORD base options. Stuff like reserve times, seniority and average trips.

ORD is second most senior, 1st being Denver. I don't have the list with me but I think it might be 6+ months to be based there. You'd be on reserve for a pretty long time, but if you live in ORD it wouldn't be too bad.

Not tough at all, at least for me, I could hold it during a position/vacancy/displacement bid if one was currently available. Unfortunately one is not, at present. So, current opportunity for me to make it up there ahead of a bid opening is simply through a trade - if I can find someone to swap with.

Hell yeah son. I got this.

The hardest part is commuting to DTW, which a lot of people don't realize until after they come here.

Unless you're coming from ORD, ATL, or Florida, most places are pretty easy out of DTW.

Coming from ATL was pure hell. Which seems odd, since there are so many flights, but they're always packed full, and they are tons of nonrevs and jumpseaters. Maybe it's gotten better in the years since I did it, but it was horrible back then.

If I were you, I'd get on it sooner than later. The class behind us has 31 in it, with a large amount of them being CFI's and a lot of R-ATP applicants. What are your times now? PM if you'd like.

Students coming in waves. No pilot shortage to see

There aren't that many 141 colleges out there. Riddle may have 1000 total in the pipeline and maybe 25% have the 1000+TT. This new supply will quickly, quickly run dry.

People just got ORD and are still in training so not totally out of he question to get it right off the bat.

1400, with an interview at XJet coming and an offer already with Eagle. I know there is a class on the 9th. Any word on when the other September classes are?

Awesome! There's a class on the 23rd, as well. All ERJ hiring.

Any idea where they are sending everyone? I've heard CLE,EWR, but the post above said ORD. Is the class on the 9th full?
My class got IAH,ORD,MCI,EWR. I believe our bid was based on the displacements so I shouldn't be getting displaced. Only reason I got ORD is likely because of attrition out of ORD.

Interesting. I had heard MCI was going to be really junior. If you were to get one of the others out of training, how long would it be before you could switch bases to MCI? Are the reserve times pretty similar across the bases?

Considering that the bases have yet to officially open I would like to say that there really is no realistic way to know until next year.

System bids are being run every month or two at this point. Who knows how long that will continue, but my guess is that the majority of people want OUT of Kansas City unless they leave in a hub for another airline.

Strangely enough my class had someone bid MCI as his number 1 choice and he was awarded EWR instead. ORD was much more prevalent than expected. Especially in the class behind me.
