Why can we no longer see the standing bid list?

I didn't see any threads on XJT hiring in the proper topic, so....

Anyone else interviewing on 7/30 in ATL?

So a buddy of mine in the hiring department at XJT says they need to hire about 136 people for July and August but have only hired about 50 so far. What happens if the end of August comes and they didnt hire enough people? Cancelled flights or more late night calls from crew scheduling to current XJT pilots?

Both.

For whatever reason the management at this company is willing to have flights cancelled, than offer 200% for pick ups. Crew support and resource management at this company is ridiculous, gotta love how a flight attendant is running crew support. She has NO idea how our systems work, much less how to actually cover the known flying, OR forecasting crew costs. The talent pool is drying up and it's bad when the Pre-K kids are running the operation.

Email to rep sent. Concessions is an automatic no vote from me. As long as they want to run two headquarters, airlines, etc. Not being "cost competitive enough" isn't a valid excuse for me.

And then...?

Let me see...y'all have 357 obsolete 50 seaters and only 69 -700/900s (with higher rates than other carriers). Couple that with the pesky issue of being whipsawed against the nonunion Skywest folks on the other side of the holding company....well...doesn't look good.

Is what it is. If the company can't compete, then the company shuts down.

No bucks, no Buck Rogers.

Oh yeah, no doubt Seggy. You got it figured out.

What would you recommend to the pilots under the service of ExpressJet Airlines?

Good! I would also recommend e-mailing the members of your negotiating committee.

This pilot group is being teed up for a concessionary contract. It may not have been obvious a few months, or even a year ago, but it should be very clear at this point.
