You know what's going on Thursday?

I dunno? I'm picking up a new car and taking my boy to a Dr appointment?

We don't have anything planned for Thursday, however, Friday we have some business to attend to.

Nexus comm went out a little bit ago, so everyone is publicly on the same page. However, your MEC may have something planned that we are not necessarily aware of.

And now we know who writes those insanely vague emails.

You could try to blame me, and I would accept responsibility...but nah, not me.

I'd love to be in control and responsible for that, however, I'll be more than happy to tell you who writes those in a PM.

You can usually tell my comms from everyone else's, they actually go out weekly, have more than two items, and usually try to increase our pilot's awareness of safety, security, or training issues/benefits while also providing some relevant dose of industry/legislative update/latest impact.

I'll be glad to discuss my communication philosophy, and why you may not see it during the whole month, with you over the phone though. Hope youll understand why I need to be discreet about discussing certain aspects of that, just know I am happy to discuss it on the phone.

Certainly think you'd come away with a better appreciation and understanding, plus I'd like to get your feedback.

If my hands were to have been involved in that overly ridiculous Nexus comm, it would have been much different. However, some folks don't agree with having a comm guy prepare, much less proof, a comm going out to our pilots.

I hear you. Was just teasing as your post was about as vague as the nexus.

Those guys always seem like a bunch of used car salesmen.

I would be part of the problem if I didn't at least say we have some of the best car salesmen in the industry, get cozy.

I don't understand why everyone get's so worked up about the summers. It is the same crap every year. The airline isn't going to hire a bunch of pilots just to cover summer flying and then have them sit around come fall when the block hours drop. Summer is one of the busiest times for us and it is part of the job. Just take it easy in the spring and fall, that's how I handle it. Same crap, different year. Nothing will change.

It's different when they can't cover their current flying. Currently on L-XJT side Captains are frequently flying as FO's. And its April... Summer is going to be unusually bad. They should at least be able to cover their off peak seasons.

Don't call it a comeback, they've been doing this for years.

Yeah but I've been crediting 95+ hours on Captain reserve all year....Jan 101, Feb 102, Mar 94, Apr on pace for 100+ again. We're short and only getting shorter as people are finally leaving. Numerous days off being rolled as well.

How can they fly as f/o's?
