ASA/Express new identity: SureJet!

The number 1 google result for surejet is an HP printer.
Other things surejet sounds like:
deodorant (already mentioned)
Incredibly sketchy Indonesian airline
"shower massager" sold on late-night television.

That has got to be the WORST name for an airline ever. Idiots.. From an Aquafresh toothpaste paint job to Deodorant, somebody in that dept must hang out in the toiletries section too much...

Wow, the motivational video posted on OurASA, otherwise very professional, has a small clip showing a Pinnacle CRJ pushing back from the gate. Doesn't inspire confidence!!

Re: ASA/Express new identity

LMFAO!:rotfl: From the bright minds hired by both comnined companies! Sure are getting their monies worth from those geniuses!

Apparently the unveiling in ATL was a complete disaster. I guess when they announced the new name nobody was clapping. BH apparently then said: "This is the part where you guys clap"!

IAH was just as bad from what I've heard. And for those wondering, they did this IN-HOUSE with corporate communications. No wonder...

They sure did a good job keeping the new name a secret. I sure wish they'd kept it a secret.

Everybody, and I seriously mean every single person in corporate communications should be fired tomorrow morning.

No joke, fire the lot of them.

Fear not, the Corporate Communications team (ala The Office "Party Planning Committee" I'm sure) will be creating the new uniforms! Oh Boy!

"...we will incorporate new SureJet wings, name badges, etc. Our Corporate Communications team will be conducting
focus groups with front-line people to attain feedback about our new wing and name badge designs, which will be created by our Creative Services team."

Can we hire Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce for the real re-branding effort?

This, HAD to have been a joke.

If these guys are really worth their salt - in any imaginable level of management skills - they'll scrap it and give up, keeping either Atlantic Southeast or ExpressJet.

I was there. It was a complete embarrassment. Announcement made through a professionally done but corny video. When the video finally dropped the new name, the silence was deafening. Then the head of corp comm. comes back out and says this is the part where you clap! as people(including me) start walking out. Im still in shock and very very very embarrassed. There needs to be a petition or something.

The only hope of getting rid of this stupid name is if HP would come after us for using the name Surejet after their printer. That would be great.

I bet these upcoming townhall meetings will be real fun. I can't wait.

These clowns will have the misfortune of having me in that lounge Friday morning. And god knows how many other pissed off "employees."

Partners, Ally, Friend...my ass.

I'll make sure some calls to legal happen tomorrow.
