Approach briefings

I agree with ppragman: Keep it simple. I once flew with a guy who was so into briefs, that he even briefed where he'd start configuring on the ILS ("I'll go flaps 1 as we turn in here, then flaps 5, and set the speed..."). By the end of it, I'd forgotten where the hell we were even going! Completely unnecessary. Typical briefs for me go plate (from top to bottom), the 10-9, speeds, and autobrakes. Short, sweet, hits the major points, and the other guy is actually able to process it all in a usable way.
 
The point of a brief is to improve the collective SA of the crew. If your brief is not accomplishing that, then you are doing it wrong.
