I have been looking at AirNet but not sure..

Keep applying at Airnet. I'm not sure if they have hired that low on TT, but you never know. The lowest I've heard of recently is 800TT, so you're almost there. That's for an SIC position, so make sure you know what you're getting in to before you say yes.

Also try Ameriflight. They were hiring Part 91 CFI's to "train their captains". It's a scary thought, being lower time than the line guys and training them how to fly on instruments when as a CFI you don't deal with the weather cargo companies deal with, but as long as you get a job it's all good.

Good luck out there and keep your eyes and ears open. You never know where the next job might come from.

I stopped by Airnet, and Craig told me to apply every month, and currently they're interviewing at 1050.

I don't know about the single pilot hard IMC part. Wouldn't a Lance be restricted to VFR only under 135?

You can't teach someone how to fly single pilot hard IMC night freight. , you have to learn alot on your own.

As for the Lance, I know plenty of operators that fly them under Part 135 IFR. Just like Flight Express with the 210.

DE727,

Remember, all we fly is freight. If we carried pax, then it would be harder, but I know a few companies who do pax in Meridians, Pilatus', etc. Freight can be single engine all it wants. There are 135 companies in AK that operate C-172's for freight.

We use caravans, and a lot of companies start their new people in single engine airplanes, then upgrade into twins (Package Express, Ram Air Freight, Flight Express, to name a few).

My old company hired me for C-207s and PA-32/32Rs at 560TT, good to go for VFR/IFR day/night freight, 135. Good experience.

According to flightinfo ACC will hire people at 500 hrs.

I honestly don't think that's accurate right now, but I'll know more in a few days. It seems the only people getting called have the mins posted on their website.

There's a few people floating around there that did their former PFT program for F/O's and I *think* that's how they got in, but that's only a guess.

I'm guessing Air Cargo Carriers - http://aircar.com/acci/

I've heard of low-time people getting hired here and it seems to me that I also heard they are hiring now...anyone else know?

I've also heard from a friend that they will hire you with low times. The lowest I've heard is about 600TT. I heard this about a month ago.

FWIW, I talked to an F/O there the other morning who was hired with sub-1000, and he was not part of the PFT thing. I didn't have a chance to talk to him long so I don't have details, but I got the general sense that he really enjoyed it there. I've heard that from more than a few people, and just think, you'd get to fly a Shorts (or maybe a Falcon now too)!

Royal Air Freight out of PTK (Pontiac, MI) hires lower time co-pilots for their EMB-110 Bandits. It is hit or miss on weather you will get hired at the time. It all depends what mood the CP and DO are in on the day of the interview and who are you up against. They tend to like lower time guys because they know they will be around a little longer.

In my class at AMF there were a couple lance guys that had about 550 to 650 hours. They were going to be instructors....work in the sims and do flight training (VFR). I think one of the two made it through training. They expect a lot out of you during training. I don't believe you'd fly the line untill you hit 135 IFR mins but it's a way into the system early. Upgrades are happening fast around here! Unfortunately you'd have to live in CA for this position.
