I worked at ASA for 7 years...
The good:
-Nice equipment
-Now owned by Skywest (better than being owned by Delta- no offense Doug)
-Mostly young pilot group (fun overnights)
-High attrition so upgrade might be relatively short
-Good training dept.
The bad:
-Schedules are tough...long duty days and 5-7 legs per day
-Crew Scheduling is a b!tch!!!
-Reserve absolutely sucks
-Commuting is tough...most lines are not commutable
-Over 3 years into negotiations with little progress...might get ugly soon
-Constant contract violations by mgmt.
My advice: take the job...upgrade ASAP and move on to SWA, AT, CAL, etc...
