Got reports nightly for about 6 months on the 33R final, on about a 18nm final, into Baghdad by Qatar Airways getting lit up.

A Grey Eagle was sent over the area for a week or so. Not sure what was done but the reports died off after that..

I seem to remember this taking place over Baquba, so a little out of that area, but I'm sure its all over. Nice if they got them. I half considered firing my own laser back, but realized that would probably be some sort of war crime and didn't :)
 
I had a laser strike while doing Medevac. The respiratory therapist now has permanent vision damage. About the only thing you can do is carry Advil in your flight bag to hopefully reduce inflammation.
 
During my ATC time, for a few weeks we were getting it on a daily basis in the tower cab. They’d never hit any aircraft, just the tower.

Clearly a salty pilot.
 
Now, there are those green/red reflective-light yard decorations that rotate light patterns and directions skyward....usually found during Christmas time.........that look exactly like you've been swept by a laser, when luckily you had not been.
