Any way to make money sitting in a hotel room

Ive Pm a bunch of you guys back. If you dont get an answer from me just drop me a line again. Im a busy dude and sometimes forget who I need to get back in touch with. please dont take it personally.

Did you order large "containers" of goods from china and then resell?

No.. I typically sell all my own products. I use to make custom off-road/race car parts with a friend of mine when I did it full time and 100% of the sales were through Ebay. Also for part time quick money, I had a vinyl cutter for making custom decals/lettering/logo's etc.. and a shirt press for making custom clothing from the vinyl designs. I don't mind it, you make your own hours.. but regional flying makes it hard to get things shipped timely so I don't do it much right now. I need an employee, but I have a really hard time putting the quality control in someone else's hands! I'd like to keep my 100% positive feedback!

I'm not above shopping on the local craigslist type ad's for deals though and reselling for 2-3x profit on Ebay either.. I stick to things I know, motorsports, racing, sporting things mostly.

Find something you are interested in and know a lot about and you can surely find something to sell to that market.. It is amazing the amount of people that use Ebay.

Can you make stickers (like for flight kits) with your vinyl cutter?

Jetcareer ones

I spent an hour or so in Photoshop making one that the guys on the Saab at Mesaba would appreciate. Just have to find somewhere to get it printed.

Jetcareers ones would be legit, too.

Any chance I could learn how to do some day trading?

Yeah.. for anything, they aren't really stickers, it's a decal where the background shows through, but they look great on cars, laptops, glass etc.. I actually sold my cutter to a friend when I started commuting again but I can use it whenever.. I'm not sure what colors or supplies he has now.. I have not used it in a while.

The design needs to be in a scalable Vector Graphic format though.. typically .SVG
This can be fairly easy or a very long process depending on the design.. If you have it in Vector format then it should be fairly easy if it's a one color design. If it's a simple image such as the JC logo I have a program that can turn normal images into vector art in about 2 seconds.. but if it's intricate and multi colored it will require work. I typically won't do a one-off design just for fun unless somebody is willing to pay for the time involved. I only like to do something that can have a pretty decent production run, multiple t-shirts.. or like a full vehicle job or vehicle kit where it's worthwhile. It's not the cutting that's time consuming. It's the vector design time mostly. I'm pretty sure Doug sells Jetcareer's stuff already so I wouldn't make anything like that without permission.

This is what the decals look like once applied. You can see the white single colors on the right are very easy.. the multicolored ones are more work.

I heard that owning and running your own Aviation Forum makes BANK....

At the end of the day + NetworkJC, i'd say instead of your accountant wanting to have you committed, perhaps she would just kick you in the balls and tell you to go work part time at Subway and incur less hassle and net more money.

The most likely way to add income while you are sitting around is with an online webstore. You will need to decide what you want to sell and then go from there. Sell something you are interested in or that you can get a supply of.

Also I do know a pilot that has an internet porn site and he tells me that it is a real up and coming business. He recruits people to do live cam shows and takes a commission.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

Joe

Im friends with a girl who did the cam thing. Guys would tip with tokens, that cost them 10 cents a piece. The girl got half, the company got half. At any given time there are 200 girls live on cam, these guys are throwing cash at them. Some of the top earners had over 1000 guys in their room and were making 3-5k in just two or three hours easy. The company gets that same exact amount since they get half the tokens and all they have to do once the sight is set up is hire an IT guy to keep the servers running! The ammount of cash flowing through these sites per day has to be insane.

You could do what I do in my spare time, and all you need is a laptop—write novels.

Keeps your mind sharp, your vocabulary up, builds your memory (keeping all those plot details meshed), it's both fun and relaxing, and it's the only legal way you can kill people. Lots of people. Through all sorts of inventive means.

How much can you make doing that?

Wut about placing a few vending machines, ATM, or coin op machines at each
hotel you layover?

My old boss had quarter candy machines in a chain of 4 grocery stores. He had to give the store 40% of the profits. But he swears he put both his kids through college with that money.

I really really want to sneak in a Gumball machine into DTW near the fountain thing everyone takes their kids to. I'm sure I'd make a killing.
