You don't post pics of a 150 that says "God Rules" on the tail and not be religious....
"Religion" is something man-made that encompasses unimportant doctrines, traditions, et cetera.

slushie said:And I've had a flight instructor (the best one I've ever had) say something to me about Christians and resignation (another H.A.!). Somewhat offended, I let him know as I will you, that I take pride in what I do. I'm not gunna just let go of the controls when I'm scared or sumthin, and I don't know where people get that crap from.
That's the standard explanation.caliginousface said:i was told by a girl i ride the train with that its more of a "relationship," is that what you're saying also?

Good answer.
I got a t-shirt that says "reject religion, embrace jesus" Don't have the balls to wear it around since I'm basically a non-confrontative sort of guy (in real life).
Yeah, so keep me informed on the website and what you guys do.
jrh said:Sorry, I didn't mean anything to offend. I don't worry about people letting go of the controls and trusting God to save them. That's like stepping in front of a train and expecting God to save you. But what I wonder about is the overall mindset highly spiritual pilots take towards flying and training.
You get into a tight spot, you get out of a tight spot...what saved you? God, or your training? Believe me, I care a great deal about God. I've been in a few sticky situations while flying and started praying (silently, I must add). Obviously, I made it through, because I'm sitting here typing this. So was it divine intervention or was it my training, skill, and judgement that kept me out of trouble? I don't know. Half of me says God watches out for me. The other half of me says that God or no God, training is what it comes down to at the end of the day...because if God intervenes so much, why do we bother to train so hard?
I don't know. It's something to ponder.
