Any JetBlue pilots on this forum?

I think one or two JB pilots come here on occasion, but they don't post very often. My understanding is that they're now hiring a few people without PIC time, but I don't work there, so no idea how accurate that intel is.

I have no idea if he got hired, but someone I know interviewed last year with about 2500TT, 1000 jet (all in the E170), and 0 TPIC. They seem to go for a wide range.

If anyone can crack the code for me, I'm all ears! :)

Currently employed by Blue factory. Min times when I got hired were 3000TT, 1000 Turbine, and an ATP. No TPIC required and yes they hire guys/gals without it(me). But I was the only one in my class. Wide range of flying experience from corporate, military, regionals, and furloughs. Not hiring right now and won't be for anytime soon(but that can change next month). PM if you have any other questions.

Well, depends on what you mean by huge. It isn't 1,000 deep, but no classes are running for probably the next 6-8 months. I'm currently swimming in about the middle of the pool. I'll happily stay there!
I'd say compared to everyone else at their level haha.

I would mind tredding some water myself for jetblue. However, I'm not yet ready for that yet.

114 was the last number I heard. However, with the long wait for class dates, I'd expect that number to shrink. Guys that are furloughed aren't just gonna stay on unemployment waiting for a call in a year or two. I'm #43, so I'm in the shallow end, and I'm still not anticipating any phone call until early 2013.

I believe it is 1500 hours TT and an ATP.

As always...dont expect a phone call with those times. There are certainly folks here that have zero PIC time but that is an exception more than the rule. In my class everyone had PIC and the lowest time guy was right around 4000 hours. The median seemed to be multiple thousand PIC and 6000 hours and the max being over 10,000.

They want that jet time. Prop guys better have a few letters of recs and someone to walk their resume in. USMC was one of the fortunate prop trash guys to get on.

A regular prop guy without recs...good luck

How long ago was that? I've heard that management wised up the last time they hired by discriminating against people with 4 digit TPIC after many left for a higher paying legacy. No TPIC is a plus but they still will hire people with TPIC but not without an good internal blue dart and solid req letters.

Of 4 B6 drivers I know... 1 had over 1000 TPIC when we was hired and was a LCA at PDT. The other 3 were RJ FO's. FWIW.

Maybe, maybe not. In my interview group, there were a LOT of regional CAs with TPIC as well as a good chunk of corporate and military guys. There were a few FOs with no TPIC, but they were in the minority. Honestly, once Delta/American/US Air/etc start hiring, they'll have guys that have been there for years leaving. I don't think they're that concerned with the new guys leaving....

I honestly think the TPIC requirement/preference will go away at THOSE above airlines once they begin hiring 500-1000 pilots a year. There's just too many captains are are fine staying at mid-upper level seniority and 100k a year regional. (nothing wrong with that either)

This was almost a year ago which was (somewhat) the last time they ran classes. They absolutely have guys here who are pure RJ FO although as a few others have mentioned that is not the norm at all. It can be deceiving as well since ive run into a few guys who were hired out of the right seat although they were downgraded and had been Captains. I think that having no PIC does not put you at any serious disadvantage in the interview process here. With that being said, since it seems to be something like 1-3 no PIC to every 10 PIC guys the odds are against you getting the call in the first place.

I clean up well...the prop stink can be beaten off of you. I did mention "torque" the other day though on approach. With the awkward look I got from the other guy I may have well said carb heat.

USMC is the man.
Nobody can check B6 loads for you better than me.

I too am driving the 'big blue bus...' hired last year with 3000-something hours, no TPIC... okay, not true - I have 1 whole hour. I think that about 4 people in my class had no command time. Two were ex-regional FO's that I remember off hand.
