I got my email yesterday and had to make my choice as well. After careful consideration and everything I went with St. Louis as well. I will tell you I called OKC yesterday and asked to be put into the PEPC for next week in Chicago and I am on for Thursday next week. I would call and ask, it worked for me. I guess we will be hitting St Louis together.

My plan is to call OKC and ask for a slot in the Chicago PEPC next week. I hope they have availability. I don't want to spend the money to fly to LA in June plus another month of waiting.

Timeline:

OTS back in June/July of 07 for every announcement
AT-SAT 10th or 11th of December with results (well qualified) about a week later
Referral for Michigan in Feb 08 but declined that basically put me dead in the water until yesterday's e-mail

I still have a ways to go to get to OKC but things are definitely looking up. If anyone is interested in trading St Louis for Memphis or Tampa please let me know.

I applied for every opening starting in July (could have been June) of 07. I guess my e-mail sounded ungrateful but I am very glad to have had a choice. After much soul searching I chose St. Louis (I know, I know, crime, etc.) because of numerous reasons. Financially mainly. I hope I can get in the Chicago PEPC but it is doubtful.

Thanks and who knows, maybe we'll meet at the PEPC in Los Angeles. There's still time for that one, i'm scheduled for it but they still haven't sent a date yet.

I FINALLY received an e-mail this afternoon. I've been given a choice of four locations: Burlington, Vermont, St. Louis, MO, Mesa, Arizona, and Billings, Montana. None of these are at the top of my list for locations but hopefully I'll be able to change at some point in the process. All facilities are 7s except St Louis which I believe is a 10 or 11. Any suggestions are appreciated :rawk:

According to STL's latest level as of July 2007 they are a level 9 now. So this should be a good place to train.

FYI - Looks like ASAP is back up. I think the system was originally scheduled to be down for maintenance through Friday morning.

When you receive an email invitation to the PEPC, are you also notified on ASAP? I am afraid that the invite might end up in my spam box.

I'm 99% certain you receive an e-mail. Perhaps a phone call if HR doesn't receive a response via e-mail. I doubt if you will see it on ASAP.

ASAP does not show any updates once you have been invited to a PEPC. I think ASAP is no longer useful for accurate information once you have been put on referral list. Beyond this point the system is never updated to show selected or where you are in the process.

Is an email generated when you are put on a referral list?

I've been told by OKC that after ASAP posts that you are on the referral list all contact is made by way of mail, email or phone.

No an e-mail is not generated when you are put on a referral list. you have to check the ASAP list for that and after that the ASAP site does not show any updates. Uptowner is right, then all contact is made my mail, e-mail or phone.
